Pride's not about politics.
We can celebrate today because of politics. If queers hadn't broken laws and risked our lives in the past, we'd have no Pride. It's possible to party and be political. We've done it for 30 years!
Some words have no place in the parade if they may cause discomfort.
No one has the right to live their life without being offended. Disagreement stimulates debate. Intelligent debate is always valuable.
Pride lost funding because of Queers Against Israeli Apartheid (QuAIA).
No one's publicly withdrawn funding or sponsorship from Pride Toronto because of QuAIA.
The City will withdraw Pride funding because some signs contravene their discrimination policy.
There are no legal reasons to deny Pride's funding and barring any group from the parade based on political affiliation is against the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
The International Association of Pride Organizers (InterPride) advised Pride Toronto to ban QuAIA or lose 2014's World Pride.

The words "Israeli Apartheid" are anti-Semitic.
Criticism of a government's policies is not hatred of that country’s people.
These protests are because people hate Pride and want to destroy it.
We love Pride. That's why we fight to keep it censorship-free. Remember that not long ago, Pride's theme was "Uncensored."
We are not alone. Hundreds of community members have joined our growing campaign. Over a dozen local and international groups, from Jewish Voices for Peace to the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, have joined the call to rescind the ban.
